ကၽြန္ေတာ့္ရဲ႕  PC မွာ on board VGA ကို သံုးေနတာကေနၿပီး 128Mb nVidia Geforce 7100GS အမ်ိဳးအစား VGA ကဒ္ေလး၀ယ္ၿပီး အစားထိုးလိုက္တာမွာ ျပႆနာစေတာ့တာပါပဲ။ new hardware ေၾကာင့္ X server မ run ႏုိင္ေတာ့ပဲ graphic mode ကို မျမင္ရျဖစ္သြားပါတယ္။ ဒီ ျပႆနာကို ေအာက္ပါ command နဲ႕ ေျဖရွင္း ႏိုင္ခဲ့ပါတယ္ -

ဒီ command ကို run လုိက္တဲ့အခါမွာ VGA card + monitor + keyboard + mouse အစရွိတဲ့ device ေတြရဲ႕ အခ်က္အလက္ေတြကို auto detach လုပ္ၿပီး “/root ” directory ထဲမွာ “xorg.conf.new” အမည္နဲ႕ save ေပးပါတယ္။ အခုရလာတဲ့ ဖုိင္ကုိ မူလ “/etc/X11″ ထဲမွာ ရွိေနတဲ့ “xrog.conf” ဖိုင္နဲ႕ အစားထိုးလိုက္တဲ့အခါ X server ျပန္ၿပီး အလုပ္လုပ္သြားပါေတာ့တယ္။

Bootloader “Grub” problems!!!

Dual Os(Windows XP + Linux) သံုးတဲ့ သူေတြမွာ ေတြ႕ရေလ့ရွိတဲ့ ျပႆနာတစ္ခုပါ။ OS ႏွစ္ခု သံုးေနရာကေနၿပီး အေၾကာင္းအမ်ိဳးမ်ိဳးေၾကာင့္ Windows XP ကို ျပန္ၿပီး install လုပ္တဲ့ အခါမွာ ဒီျပႆနာေပၚလာရေတာ့တာပါပဲ။ အေၾကာင္းအရင္းကေတာ့ ဒီလိုပါ။ HDD ရဲ႕ ပထမဆံုး boot sector ျဖစ္တဲ့ MBR (Master Boot Record) ထဲမွာ Linux ကအသံုးျပဳတဲ့ boot loader “Grub” (lilo ကုိ လည္း သံုးလို႕ရပါတယ္) ကို install လုပ္ထားပါတယ္။ ကၽြန္ေတာ္တို႕က Windows XP ကို ျပန္ၿပီး အသစ္ install လုပ္လိုက္တဲ့အခါမွာ “C:\” partition ကို format လုပ္လုိက္တာေၾကာင့္ ဒီ Grub (boot loader) ဖိုင္ေလးပါသြားပါတယ္။ အဲဒါေၾကာင့္ ကၽြန္ေတာ္တို႕ရဲ႕ hard disk ထဲမွာ linux partition ရွိေနေပမယ့္လည္း Boot loader မရွိေတာ့တဲ့အတြက္ System ကို boot လုပ္ေပမယ့္ grub မတက္လာေတာ့ပဲ linux ကို ၀င္မရျဖစ္ၾကရတာပါ။ ဒီ problem အတြက္ solution ကုိ method (2)မ်ိဳးနဲ႕ ေဖာ္ျပလိုက္ပါတယ္။ အဆင္ေျပသလို အသံုးျပဳၾကပါ။

1. Download Zawgyi-One fonts and others myanmar true type(.ttf) fonts:

2. Create a directory for new fonts

   # mkdir /usr/share/fonts/truetype

3. Move the “.ttf” font files to the new font directory

   # mv *.ttf /usr/share/fonts/truetype
